This page explains how BestGoldPrice.com researches, writes, scores and corrects what we publish. If something here doesn’t match what you see on the site, please tell us.

Who writes this site

BestGoldPrice.com is run by Mark Sandulli, who is responsible for everything published here. Mark is not a financial advisor, precious-metals dealer, tax professional or gold expert, and we never present him as one. Our job is to gather public information, explain it in plain English and show you where it came from, so you can make your own decision.

How we use AI tools

We use AI tools to help with research and to draft and edit pages. AI can make mistakes, so we hold AI-assisted work to the same rules as everything else: each fact lists its source, prices and fees are checked against the company’s own published terms or other public records, and anything found to be wrong is fixed (see “Corrections” below). AI tools never decide a company’s score; scores come from the published formula.

Where our information comes from

  • Companies’ own websites, published fee schedules, account minimums and terms.
  • Public complaint and regulatory records, such as the Better Business Bureau, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, state regulators and court or settlement records.
  • Customer review sites, read for patterns rather than single reviews.
  • Government sources such as the IRS for retirement-account rules, and market data providers for spot prices.

Sources are listed on each page in plain text, with the date we checked them where it matters. We don’t link out to sources so that our links stay limited to the companies we compare, but you can search for any listed source yourself. Unless a review says otherwise, we have not bought from or opened an account with the company ourselves.

How we score Gold IRA companies

Every Gold IRA company is scored with the same published formula, built on five things: fees, minimum investment, complaint and regulatory record, buyback policy and price transparency. The full formula and each company’s score are on our Gold IRA rankings page. Scores are our opinion based on public information, not a guarantee of how any company will treat you.

We don’t score bullion dealers, because the cheapest dealer changes from day to day. For dealers, we compare published shipping, payment and buyback terms and tell you to check the total delivered price for the same coin before you buy.

Independence: how commissions work here

  • Some companies pay us a commission when you click our links and buy or sign up. Links that can earn us money are marked as sponsored, and we explain this on our How We Make Money page.
  • Commissions never change a score or a ranking. A company can’t pay to be listed, to rank higher or to have a complaint left out.
  • Companies don’t review or approve our pages before they’re published.
  • We include the downsides and complaints for every company, including the ones that pay us.
  • If buying coins or bars is likely cheaper for you than a Gold IRA, we say so, even though a Gold IRA would usually pay us more.

Keeping pages up to date

Prices, fees and company policies change. Each guide and review shows the date it was last updated. We re-check pages when a company changes its terms, when new complaint or regulatory information comes out, and on a regular schedule. Live prices on the site come from a market data feed and are for reference only; a dealer’s checkout price is what you’ll actually pay.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, an outdated price or a fact without a source, please email Mark@bestgoldprice.com or use our contact page. Tell us the page and what looks wrong. We review every report. When we fix a meaningful error, such as a fee, a score or a claim about a company, we update the page and its date. Companies may also send corrections; we change a page only when the correction is backed by a public record or the company’s own published terms.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t give personal financial, tax or legal advice, and we don’t know your situation. For a retirement decision, talk to a licensed financial advisor or tax professional.
  • We don’t predict where gold or silver prices are going.
  • We don’t write fake reviews or testimonials, and we don’t invent quotes.
  • We don’t sell gold, hold anyone’s money or handle accounts.

Nothing on this site is financial, tax or legal advice. Please read our full Disclaimer and Terms of Use.
